Art Roundup

The year is 2026, and I am trying to be more open and weird about things I create. Be my first fan, you know. So here is some collected artwork I have made over the years for Rise and Fall of the Glorious Qiao, also featuring characters that haven't shown up yet.

Tangyou and Ao Luming

Tangyou and Ao Luming close to their final designs. I decided to give Luming a mustache to make him look more distinct from the other 500 historical fantasy leads.

Xingxi and Qiping

Xingxi and Qiping's dynamic is one of my favorite things about this series. I'm doing my part offering doomed childhood friendship to enemies wlw into the world.

Xingxi and Qiping dressed as Utena and Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena

I'm absolutely not kidding about the toxic yuri.

Xingxi facing off against Bixian

Xingxi is the easiest person for me to draw, while Bixian is the hardest. It took a lot of time to settle on her design.

Xingxi in colored markers

I'm not kidding, Xingxi is my favorite to draw.

Shuangtou lying on the ground with a deer head entangled in their antlers

Shuangtou and Cheng Di were late additions to the story (as many might be able to tell) but I really adore them as characters as they reinforce the themes of the Qiao so much. Shuangtou actually came to me in a dream, and I feel like there's some weirdness I'm not skilled enough to handle regarding their storyline on children but I think that's more of a me thing. A lot of my fiction has ended up asking "what do we owe to the children we bring into the world" even though I don't plan on having kids myself.

Lady Liuying

Li Liuruo

I drew this Liuruo closer to Tang dynasty fashion of her time.

And now here are some characters that haven't shown up yet.

this is actually facetious because one of them is Xiu Chan lmao

And some Nezhas cut from my notebooks.
